The Eleven Terraces 2018 - Lafage 75cl

Les Onze Terrasses is a powerful and complex wine from the AOP Côtes du Roussillon Villages les Aspres appellation, made from Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Grenache. Its dark color evokes Indian ink, and its intense nose reveals aromas of blackberry, incense, and minerality with hints of pencil lead. On the palate, it offers a full and velvety texture, marked by flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, black pepper, and graphite, with an iodized and mineral finish.

With a 20-year aging potential, this wine pairs perfectly with characterful dishes such as wild boar stew or prime rib. Grown on schist terraces at the foot of Mount Canigou, it comes from plots selected for their exceptional quality. The vinification is meticulous: green harvesting, hand-picking and destemming, and aging for 25 months in new demi-muids, giving this wine its exceptional character.
