Meursault "Les Vireuils" is an iconic wine from the Burgundy region, produced in the AOC Meursault appellation, specifically in the Vireuils Dessous climate. This 34-acre vineyard is located in the commune of Meursault, with a full eastern exposure, on clay-limestone soils, ideal for the Chardonnay grape variety. The vines, planted in 1970 and 2000, are maintained using the Guyot short pruning method.

The harvest is carried out manually, without destemming, followed by crushing before pneumatic pressing. After nighttime settling in stainless steel vats, the wine is transferred to barrels by gravity for 14 months of aging, 20% of which is in new barrels.

Meursault wines are distinguished by a broad aromatic palette, combining power and concentration. The Vireuils, thanks to their exposure and geographical location, offer notable finesse and freshness. They reveal buttery, smooth aromas, as well as typical notes of hazelnut and toast. On the palate, the wine is rich and enveloping, with a persistent length that makes it an exceptional choice.

Ideal for aging between 3 and 7 years, this Meursault "Les Vireuils" pairs perfectly with dishes such as poultry in cream sauce, foie gras, or a fricassee of chanterelles. It is best served at an optimal temperature of 15 to 16 °C.
