Saint Joseph "La Butte d'Or" 2022 - Alain Jaume 75cl

Saint-Joseph "La Butte d'Or" 2023 from Domaine Alain Jaume comes from the south of the appellation and is a blend of two wines from east- and southeast-facing hillside vines grown under the AOC Saint-Joseph appellation. This wine is made exclusively from Syrah, offering an authentic expression of this grape variety.

The harvest is carried out manually, with a rigorous selection of healthy and ripe grapes. After complete destemming, a cold pre-fermentation maceration is carried out for 5 to 6 days, allowing the delicate aromas to be extracted. The wine is aged in oak barrels, with 10% new oak, to bring complexity and structure to the wine.

On the nose, "La Butte d'Or" reveals typical aromas of pepper and jammy red fruits. On the palate, it is balanced, full-bodied, and intense, with beautiful tannins on the finish, promising good aging potential of 6 to 8 years. For optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature of 16°C.
